HOTEL-RESTAURANTE EN EL PARQUE NATURAL DEL MONTSENY- BARCELONA

Este post es especial. Tengo que reconocer que no tiene relación alguna con el camino de Santiago francés. No obstante, es uno de esos lugares con encanto a los que me gusta ir y por sus características específicas,  que voy a detallar a continuación,  merece tener una mención en mi BLOG.

This post is special. I have to admit that it has nothing to do with the French way of Santiago. However, it is one of those charming places that I like to go and because of its specific characteristics, which I will detail below, deserves to have a mention in my BLOG.

Está ubicado en el Parque Natural del Montseny – a escasos kilómetros de la Ciudad de Barcelona – que es uno de los 12 espacios naturales que gestiona la Diputación de Barcelona en Cataluña y se sitúa en la Cordillera prelitoral catalana, de la que es el macizo más alto. El Parque está situado entre las comarcas de Osona, Vallés Oriental y La Selva. Destacan los pronunciados relieves que presenta y la rica variedad ecológica. Por esta razón en 1978 la Unesco lo declaró reserva de la biosfera.

It is located in the Natural Park of the Montseny – a few kilometers from the City of Barcelona – which is one of the 12 natural spaces managed by the Diputación de Barcelona in Catalonia and is located in the Catalan pre-coastal mountain range, which is the largest massif high. The Park is located between the regions of Osona, Vallés Oriental and La Selva. They emphasize the pronounced reliefs that it presents and the rich ecological variety. For this reason, in 1978 Unesco declared it a biosphere reserve.

Hablar de Can Cuch es hablar de un equipo de personas que gestionan tu estancia para que te sientas a gusto y disfrutes de la naturaleza y su entorno.

Talking about Can Cuch is talking about a team of people who manage your stay so you feel at ease and enjoy nature and its surroundings.

Sus propietarios han invertido tiempo y dinero en acondicionar una masía del Siglo X adecuada al entorno, protegiendo en todo momento el mantenimiento y conservación de la Naturaleza que les envuelve.  Este “leitmotiv” se hace extensible hasta en su gastronomía.

Its owners have invested time and money in preparing a farmhouse of the X century that is adequate to the environment, protecting at all times the maintenance and conservation of the Nature that surrounds them. This «leitmotiv» extends even in its gastronomy.

Porqué incluyo este Artículo en mi BLOG?…… Si hay que preparar adecuadamente el peregrinaje, es uno de los lugares más aconsejables para caminar y alcanzar este nivel físico necesario para cumplir las etapas sin notar a penas el cansancio. En el Parque hay muchísimos senderos por los que caminar. Sus diversos recorridos permiten un progreso físico puesto que encontrarás senderos llanos, con desniveles en algunos puntos, con descensos considerables y unas características muy similares a las etapas que harás en El Camino de Santiago Francés.

Why should I include this article in my BLOG? …… If you have to prepare the pilgrimage properly, it is one of the most advisable places to walk and reach this physical level necessary to complete the stages without hardly noticing the tiredness. In the park there are many paths to walk. Its diverse routes allow a physical progress since you will find flat trails, with unevenness in some points, with considerable descents and characteristics very similar to the stages that you will do in the Camino de Santiago Francés.

Además, es un lugar donde el descanso está garantizado. Donde podrás degustar platos elaborados con mucho esmero y de alta calidad, todo ello con productos de proximidad. Si bien, he de reconocer, que en e l Camino a Santiago por la vía francesa hay pocos lugares donde comer tan bien. Sin querer desmerecer aquellos que cito en: “Dónde comer”, en mi Blog, Can Cuch tiene de especial que ofrece platos para vegetarianos, además de otras peculiaridades que lo hacen diferente del resto de Restaurantes del camino. La dieta mediterránea es muy equilibrada y sana, como es  sabido, y en Can Cuch puedo asegurarte que no tendrás pesadez de estómago ni malas digestiones al acostarte y estarás en condiciones óptimas para enfrentarte al día siguiente a una etapa dura que puedas programar por el entorno del Parque.

In addition, it is a place where rest is guaranteed. Where you can taste dishes elaborated with great care and of high quality, all with products of proximity. Although, I must admit, that on the way to Santiago by the French route there are few places to eat so well. Without wanting to demean those that I quote in «Where to eat», in my Blog, Can Cuch has special that offers dishes for vegetarians, in addition to other peculiarities that make it different from the rest of Restaurants on the way. The Mediterranean diet is very balanced and healthy, as it is known, and in Can Cuch I can assure you that you will not have stomach heaviness or bad digestions at bedtime and you will be in optimal conditions to face the next day to a hard stage that you can program by the environment from the park.

Muy aconsejable es subir al Sui, una cima a escasos 6 km del Hotel con fuerte ascenso hasta los 1318 m. cuya particularidad es que tiene un firme muy similar al ascenso de 8 km que hay en la etapa de O Cebreiro, la población primera en tierras gallegas del Camino.

It is very advisable to go up to the Sui, a summit just 6 km from the Hotel with a strong ascent to 1318 m. Whose particularity is that it has a firm very similar to the ascent of 8 km that is in the stage of O Cebreiro, the first population in Galician lands of the Way.

Las habitaciones  en el Hotel Can Cuch son  muy acogedoras y desde la primera a la última (tiene 11 estancias) amplias y confortables.  Equipadas con confortables camas y mucha luz exterior e interior. Hasta el punto de que alguna de las habitaciones dispone de “iluminoterapia”. Otras ofrecen la posibilidad de bañera Jacuzzi o sistema de ducha spa, o ambas cosas a la vez, dependiendo de la habitación que se elija.

The rooms at the Hotel Can Cuch are very cozy and from the first to the last (it has 11 rooms) spacious and comfortable. Equipped with comfortable beds and lots of light outside and inside. To the extent that any of the rooms has «lighting». Others offer the possibility of Jacuzzi bath or spa shower system, or both at once, depending on the room you choose.

El personal es amable, servicial y muy profesional. Desde el equipo de limpieza hasta la dirección. Forman un equipo muy bien coordinado en el que todos colaboran para hacer de tu estancia un placer y lo hacen de corazón. En las repetidas veces que nos hemos alojado allí, mi marido y yo, así como otros familiares y amigos, siempre hemos coincidido en valorar de “excelencia “ el trato recibido y el maravilloso servicio que ofrecen. Desde las habitaciones, cuya limpieza es rigurosa y puntual, hasta el detalle más simple como es, por ejemplo, tomar un café, una copa o un té en la pérgola que hay junto al Restaurante.  Y ya que menciono este “mágico” espacio en Can Cuch, debo hacer mención de la magnífica vista que tienes del valle y lo relajante que puede llegar a ser,  poder apreciar en la distancia, un día claro y diáfano, el mar. Ver un atardecer, un amanecer, sentado en estos sofás del velador…..

The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. From the cleaning team to the address. They form a very well coordinated team in which all collaborate to make your stay a pleasure and do it from the heart. In the many times we have stayed there, my husband and I, as well as other family and friends, have always agreed to rate «excellence» as the treatment received and the wonderful service they offer. From the rooms, whose cleaning is rigorous and punctual, to the simplest detail such as, for example, have a coffee, a drink or tea in the pergola next to the Restaurant. And since I mention this «magic» space in Can Cuch, I must mention the magnificent view that you have of the valley and the relaxing that can become, to be able to appreciate in the distance, on a clear and diaphanous day, the sea. See a sunset, a dawn, sitting on these nightstands sofas … ..

Cualquier espacio creado en Can Cuch cumple con los requisitos y exigencias para no alterar la Biodiversidad natural que exige el lugar donde está ubicado. En este sentido, por ejemplo, llama la atención una pequeña estufa instalada en este espacio-mirador donde tomamos a menudo un cerveza al concluir nuestra excursión, o el café después de una comida exquisita que nos han servido en el comedor del Restaurante…… un “gin tonic” por la tarde, también, preparado con  mucho esmero por su Maître, Montse Vázquez.

Any space created in Can Cuch complies with the requirements and requirements not to alter the natural Biodiversity required by the place where it is located. No acostumbro a escribir tanto en mis Artículos, pero al inicio del mismo he mencionado que iba a detallar características por las que merecía un Post en mi Blog. Can Cuch es un lugar especial, como dice Montse Vázquez, “un trocito de cielo”….. Así que os dejo el enlace del lugar para no alargar más las “excepcionalidades” del lugar.

I do not usually write so much in my Articles, but at the beginning of the same I mentioned that I would detail features that deserved a Post on my Blog. Can Cuch is a special place, as Montse Vázquez says, «a little piece of heaven» … .. So I leave the link of the place so as not to lengthen the «exceptionalities» of the place.

Después de visitar el sitio web y, sobretodo, después de disfrutar de unos días allí,  entenderéis el porqué de mi Post.

Para no faltar en mi compromiso de detallar los pros y los contras de todos los lugares que recomiendo, debo comentar que llegar a Can Cuch en coche es algo dificultoso en el tramo final ya dentro del Parque Natural del Montseny. El ascenso por el firme puede estar degradado o en mal estado por las lluvias y el hecho de no poder asfaltar el camino por ser un entorno natural que lo impide la normativa, hay baches que obligan a tomarse tiempo y velocidad muy reducida. Solo en este punto puede que sea un obstáculo algo molesto para el vehículo pero todo buen conductor sabrá llegar sin  dificultad.

Not to be lacking in my commitment to detail the pros and cons of all the places I recommend, I must mention that getting to Can Cuch by car is difficult in the final stretch already inside the Montseny Natural Park. The ascent by the firm can be degraded or in bad condition by the rains and the fact of not being able to asphalt the road because it is a natural environment that is prevented by the regulations, there are bumps that force to take time and very reduced speed. Only at this point may it be a somewhat annoying obstacle to the vehicle but every good driver will know how to get there without difficulty.
