A pesar de la amplia oferta hotelera, en general, en el Camino de Santiago Francés, no es fácil encontrar lugares con encanto.

Se da el caso de que las Casas Rurales están apartadas del camino y es preciso, en la mayoría de los casos, llamar al llegar al punto acordado para que te pasen a buscar.

Entre Mayo y Septiembre es difícil encontrar alojamiento a última hora. La afluencia de peregrinos en estos meses, año a año, aumenta considerablemente. 

Between May and September it is difficult to find accommodation at the last minute. The influx of pilgrims in these months, year by year, increases considerably.

 Mi consejo es programar el peregrinaje con una antelación mínima de 4/5 meses. My advice is to schedule the pilgrimage at least 4/5 months in advance.

Empieza reservando ordenadamente cada uno de los alojamientos, según las etapas que vayas a realizar.

Los alojamientos que aconsejo son sitios en los que he estado y en todos ellos me han atendido con mucho cariño y me han sorprendido porque su dedicación al peregrino es digna de mención y respeto.

The accommodations that I advise are places where I have been and in all of them I have been treated with much affection and I have been surprised because their dedication to the pilgrim is worthy of mention and respect.

He aprendido en estos años peregrinando por estas tierras que los lugares dónde duermo no tienen porqué ser caros para sentirte mejor que en otros de más precio y lujo. Que los Hostales o las Casas Rurales prestan un servicio más personalizado al peregrino como no se hace en Hoteles de más categoría, donde, en muchas ocasiones, eres un cliente más y pierden entre tantos clientes el espíritu del camino.

I have learned in these years pilgrimage through these lands that the places where I sleep do not have to be expensive to feel better than others in more price and luxury. That the Hostels or the Rural Houses provide a more personalized service to the pilgrim as it is not done in Hotels of more category, where, in many occasions, you are one more customer and lose among many clients the spirit of the way.
