A fecha de hoy ya llevo un número de visitas en el BLOG que no podía ni imaginar. Tampoco es que sea viral, pero me alegra saber que día a día aumenta el interés por el «Camino de Santiago a lo pijo«- the posh way to Santiago.

As of today I already have a number of visits to the BLOG that I could not even imagine. Nor is it to be viral, but I am happy to know that day by day the interest in the «Camino de Santiago a pijo» increases.

No tengo mucha experiencia como bloguera y elegí un formato -además del dominio- que no permite visualizar visitas ni visitantes, (por lo que iré incorporando semestralmente la estadística en formato Post.

I do not have much experience as a blogger and I chose a format – in addition to the domain – that does not allow visitors or visitors to be visualized, so I will incorporate the statistics in Post format every six months.

The only purpose of this BLOG is to contribute with my information to make your pilgrimage experience for these lands more pleasant. The links, highlighted in blue, give you direct access to the places where I have been, either housed or simply eating or having dinner.

Allí donde repito estancia suelo tener buena relación con los responsables, sea Casa Rural, Hotel u Hostal. Al crear este BLOG les hice partícipes de mi iniciativa porque mi única intención es publicitar estos lugares y su buen servicio ya que son, en su mayoría, personas que dedican sus esfuerzos para que nos encontremos como en casa.

Where I repeat stay I have a good relationship with those responsible, be it Rural House, Hotel or Hostel. By creating this BLOG I made you part of my initiative because my only intention is to advertise these places and their good service since they are, mostly, people who dedicate their efforts to make us feel at home

Cuando llevas semanas alejado de los tuyos, el trato familiar, a la hora de alojarte en una Casa Rural o un Hotel a kilómetros de casa, se agradece. Estas personas que regentan estos negocios ven pasar a diario peregrinos de todo el mundo, con la certeza de que no les volverán a ver más, pero con la ilusión de dejar una huella imborrable en su recuerdo. Son profesionales, pero sobretodo, son amables y complacientes con sus huéspedes, que en definitiva somos peregrinos de una sola noche que llegamos cansados y partimos temprano para seguir nuestro camino. No hay cosa más emotiva que la despedida del lugar donde te han acogido con tanto cariño y amabilidad, porque en muchas ocasiones, muchos de nosotros, sabemos que es difícil volver a vivir una experiencia tan dura.

When you take weeks away from your family, the familiar treatment, when it comes to lodging in a Rural House or a Hotel miles from home, is appreciated. These people who run these businesses see daily pilgrims from all over the world, with the certainty that they will never see them again, but with the illusion of leaving an indelible mark on their memory. They are professionals, but above all, they are kind and accommodating with their guests, who are, in short, one-night pilgrims who arrive tired and leave early to continue our journey. There is nothing more emotional than the farewell of the place where they have welcomed you with so much affection and kindness, because many times, many of us, know that it is difficult to relive such a hard experience.

El peregrinaje es duro. Quizás no eres consciente hasta pasadas las dos primeras semanas. Pero llega un punto en que te levantas una mañana cansado/a y a pesar de haber dormido placenteramente, sabes que debes seguir tu camino ya que tienes que llegar a destino, a Santiago de Compostela y quizás a Finisterre, debes levantarte y volver al camino. Al igual que al regresar con los tuyos a casa, deberás seguir con tu vida.

The pilgrimage is hard. You may not be aware until after the first two weeks. But there comes a point where you wake up a tired morning and despite having slept pleasantly, you know that you must follow your path since you have to reach the destination, Santiago de Compostela and perhaps Finisterre, you must get up and get back on the road. Like returning home with you, you must continue with your life.

No es más duro el camino que el regreso a casa. Con los años que llevo haciendo el Camino de Santiago Francés, la vuelta a casa es un impacto que te deja algo tocado durante los primeros días.

The road is not harder than returning home. With the years that I have been doing the Camino de Santiago, the return home is an impact that leaves something touched during the first days.

En el próximo semestre confío  alcanzar una cifra más elevada de visitas…. Gracias por prestarme un momento vuestra atención.
