Estos últimos 20 kilómetros son los más especiales. Saliendo de Casa Das Corredoiras, con la nostalgia que provocan las despedidas y después del suculento desayuno que nos preparan allí, iniciamos la etapa en la población de Pedrouzo donde nos llevan en coche desde la Casa Rural. Caminamos lentamente. Creo que es la etapa más silenciosa de todas. A pesar del intenso flujo de peregrinos, solo se oyen los pájaros y los coches en las zonas próximas a carretera. Vamos pasando pilones con los kilómetros decreciendo y cada vez quedan menos para llegar a culminar el peregrinaje de este año.

These last 20 kilometres are the most special. Leaving Casa Das Corredoiras, with the nostalgia that provoke the farewells and after the succulent breakfast we prepare there, we started the stage in the town of Pedrouzo where we drive from the country house. We walk slowly. I think it’s the quietest stage of all. Despite the intense flow of pilgrims, only birds and cars are heard in the areas near the road. Debo aclarar que la salida desde Casa Das Corredoiras en Arzúa para hacer la etapa es porque paso allí dos noches y los responsables de esta CASA RURAL CON MUCHO ENCANTO, nos dejan en PEDROUZO para iniciar desde allí la etapa que concluimos ahí mismo el día anterios. Así que desde PEDROUZO a SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA, hay escasos 20 km…..
Vuelvo a tener la sensación de haber ido muy rápida o que el tiempo a pasado volando.

La etapa tiene, como otras anteriores, tramos bonitos, entre bosques frondosos de eucaliptos y otros por asfalto, entre zonas vecinales o zona industrial.

Lavacolla es el aeropuerto de Santiago de Compostela y lo pasamos por un sendero asfaltado hasta iniciar la subida al Monte del Gozo. Este año han modificado la entrada a este parque donde está el Monumento que inmortalizamos casi todos los peregrinos. Al igual que la Iglesia, donde ponemos un último sello a nuestra credencial. Desde esta altura ya divisamos la Ciudad que nos espera ver llegar emocionados y llorosos.
Lavacolla is the airport of Santiago de Compostela and we pass it through an asphalted path until we begin the ascent to the Mount of Gozo. Llegar a casa y empezar a preparar las entradas en mi BLOG, me devuelve al camino, a revivir cada instante mortalizado en fotografías, vídeos y en el transcurrir de los meses ir programando mi siguiente peregrinaje. He andado más de 900 kilómetros en 31 días y si añadiese los kilómetros que realizaba casi cada tarde al visitar la población donde dormía, habré hecho muchos más. El cansancio no me ha afectado durante el peregrinaje. Es ahora, en casa, cuando mi cuerpo pide reposo y sofá. Normalmente tardo entre 7 y 15 días en volver a salir a caminar. También tengo que comprar nuevo calzado. Mis bambas están ya en el baúl de los recuerdos del camino. Ya tengo 8 pares guardados y con ellos, sus historias y no puedo tirarlos. En el camino se han quedado las de Gore-Tex, en Portomarín, después de ser las responsables de mi primera ampolla.
