Si has optado por alojarte en el Hotel Sierra de Atapuerca, tendrás la opción de elegir camino a Burgos puesto que, en lugar de llevarte al punto de recogida del día anterior, se puede ir por la opción que aconsejan en el mismo Hotel. Por mi única experiencia de paso por este lugar, puedo decirte que el camino va paralelo a la carretera. Si llueve es muy poco recomendable porque la multitud de coches que transita por esta entrada a Burgos llegan a salpicar de agua (en 2014 me llovió a mares) el poco sendero que tenemos los peregrinos que andamos por estos lares. De elegir la opción de partir desde donde te recogieron, desconozco el firme, pero por la información que he ido recabando, parece que es peor que la ruta que elegí yo.

If you have chosen to stay at the Hotel Sierra de Atapuerca, you will have the option to choose your way to Burgos since, instead of taking you to the collection point the previous day, you can go by the option advised in the same Hotel. For my only experience of passing through this place, I can tell you that the road goes parallel to the road. If it rains it is very unsatisfactory because the crowd of cars that travels through this entrance to Burgos come to splash water (in 2014 it rained on seas) the little path that we have the pilgrims who walk through these homes. To choose the option to leave from where they picked you, I do not know the firm, but from the information I’ve been getting, it seems to be worse than the route I chose.

Recuerda comprobar la previsión meteorológica antes de cerrar la maleta y llevar en la mochila lo más imprescindible. No olvides los palos, la credencial y la capelina (si llueve).

El calzado, si no llueve, deberá ser el más transpirable. De lo contrario, el de Gore-tex, para no llegar con los pies empapados.

La entrada a Burgos por esta vía es la mejor. Se evitan los últimos dos kilómetros de asfalto de la zona industrial y se entra por una zona verde de la Ciudad junto al Río Arlanzón.
