Etapa corta. Sólo 12 km. Un ascenso considerable y un firme muy complicado. Muchas piedras, agua si ha llovido y al raso mucho viento. Paisajísticamente es impresionante y la curiosidad más destacable es el paso de Castilla a Galicia muy bien señalizado.

Saliendo de Vega de Valcarce llegamos por camino asfaltado a Ruitelán. Después de una corta pendiente se llega a Las Herrerías. El ascenso se recrudece y ya no dejaremos de subir hasta O Cebreiro, pasando por La Faba y Laguna.

Leaving Vega de Valcarce we arrive by asphalted road to Ruitelán. After a short descent you will reach Las Herrerías. The ascent increases and we will not stop going up to O Cebreiro, passing through La Faba and Laguna.

Antes de las Herrerías está la Hípica Al Paso que facilita la subida a caballo hasta O Cebreiro. En 2015 subí a caballo y llegué con agujetas al final de mi etapa que me duraron dos días. En 2o13 y 2016 tuve mal tiempo y el sendero estaba lleno de barro y el viento al raso molestaba mucho e hizo dificultosa la etapa.

Before the Herrerías is the Equestrian Al Paso that facilitates the ascent on horseback to O Cebreiro. In 2015 I got on horseback and arrived with saddles at the end of my stage that lasted me two days. In 2o13 and 2016 I had bad weather and the path was full of mud and the breeze was very annoying and made the stage difficult.

Aconsejo para esta etapa la bamba de Gore-tex para proteger los pies del barro, agua y torceduras inevitables cuando la niebla, el viento o la lluvia no dejan ver bien el firme por el que pisas.

I advise for this stage the bore of Gore-tex to protect the feet from mud, water and unavoidable twists when fog, wind or rain do not let you see well the steady you step on.

Imprescindibles los palos. Además la credencial, la capelina y el gorro, que no falten en tu mochila. No hay áreas de descanso, pero encontramos algún bar en estas aldeas por las que pasaremos.
