De Vilafranca del Bierzo a Vega de Valcarce

Etapa corta y monótona. Son 17 km andando junto a la carretera, con una división para el carril del peregrino muy segura, pero sumamente aburrido…. Hay alguna población por el camino por lo que nos desvían de la carretera, cruzando al otro lado para entrar por estas poblaciones: Pereje, Trabadelo y Portela de Valcarce donde se puede repostar sin problema en la etapa.

Para quien tenga más ganas de caminar, se puede alargar hasta O Cebreiro y se hacen así 28 km en total desde Vilafranca del Bierzo pero los últimos 8 km son en ascenso y muy dificultosos por el firme del sendero.

Llegar a Vega de Valcarce a comer no es un mal plan. Después, en la Casa Rural El Recanto, se puede lavar ropa y dejarla al sol para que se seque. Vega tiene una bonita Ermita y un paseo por sus calles nos acerca a la hora de la cena. Aunque no hay muchos lugares que ver ni donde comer algo más que el menú del peregrino, es mejor descansar para afrontar la etapa del día siguiente con más fuerzas.

En 2013 me llovió, en 2015 pasé mucha calor y este año, 2016 he caminado acompañada por unos peregrinos, por lo que no hice reportaje. Tengo pocas fotos pero creo que serían todas iguales.
