El calzado para esta etapa puede ser el más fresco si el tiempo lo permite y no ha llovido recientemente. El firme es variado. Un ascenso hasta el Alto de San Roque o Monte Do Poio por camino de piedras y tierra. Algún tramo junto a la carretera pero por sendero y que deberemos dejar para pasar al otro lado. Se puede caminar por el arcén en algún momento después del Alto de San Roque si hubiera mucho barro. La bajada hasta el pequeño Valle donde está Triacastela es, paisajísticamente, muy relajante. Los 21 km de esta etapa se hacen sin dificultad. Pasaremos por varias aldeas con pocos servicios, pero en el Monte Do Poio hay un único bar donde paramos todos los peregrinos antes de iniciar el descenso. Después nos quedan Fonfria, O Biduelo y Fillobal, llegando por un camino cómodo a Triacastela.
